While grief can feel like a lonely island, it’s a journey we all eventually share. We’re creating a soft place to land—a local “Grief Cafe” where you can breathe, talk, and realize there is no “wrong” way to feel.
Come join us under the shade of the oak and olive trees at The Space, right in the heart of town. We’re picking up the beautiful thread of conversation we started last year at the Ortega Park Mental Wellness talks, and we couldn’t be happier to begin this new chapter with Kari O’Driscoll. Weekly hosts are Mia Lopez and Andi Garcia and friends! Fee is $15 to support the weekly commitment.
What to Expect:
A Gentle Space: This is a peer-to-peer gathering with zero pressure. No “fixing,” just being.
Diverse Voices: Each Thursday, we’ll be joined by a different healer, artist, or culture bearer to help us explore the many faces of grief, loss, rage, and our deepest fears.
Creative Comfort: We’ll have paper crafts on hand to keep our fingers busy while we talk.
Community Wisdom: Bring your favorite snacks and any coping tools or rituals that have helped you along the way—we’d love to learn from your experience.
It’s time to move past the stigma of “death talk” and focus on what it truly means to live well. Let’s find that path together.
